If you’ve ever sat with a child during a worship service, you know that the struggle is REAL.
God put the wiggle in kids and nothing brings it out of them more than sitting in a quiet room listening to a sermon.
As a pastor’s wife, I am at church with my kids every time the doors are open.
We sit on the front row and, whether it’s real or imagined, I feel a lot of pressure to make sure my kids “act right” in church.
Since super glue would damage our pews, I have had to find other ways to get them to sit still.
One way is to give them activity sheets to take notes about the sermon.
They love having their own special sheets and look forward to seeing which one is in their church binder that day.

What does this bundle include?
This bundle includes 12 original sermon note sheets.
(If you subscribed to our mailing list to get the free sermon note sheet, that means that you’ll get 11 new coloring pages and the free sermon note sheet altogether in one PDF.)
Why $20.00?!? That seems expensive!
We agree.
You could absolutely get several different sermon note-taking books on Amazon for under $12.
They’re all very cute and bound together so you don’t have loose papers floating about.
This page contains affiliate links for your convenience. This means that if you make a purchase, we’ll receive compensation at no additional cost to you. You can read our full disclosure policy here.
In fact, here’s are some links to our favorites.
But here’s the thing with all of those – they each only have a couple of different pages of notes.
They have one spread of note-taking pages for each week repeated 52 times.
We’ve used these for our kids, and they were tired of filling out the same sheets after about two weeks.
Plus only one child can use the book unless you plan on taking it apart to share.
That conundrum is exactly how this product was created.
We wanted a bunch of different sermon notes sheets that our kids could use without having to buy a new note-taking book every time they got bored.
With our bundle, you get twelve different sheets so you only use each sheet four times in a year of note-taking providing plenty of variety so your kids don’t get tired of the same sheets.
And since it’s a PDF you can print it as many times for as many kids as you want.
Use them for your whole family for as long as you like.
*If you would like to provide them for your whole church, check out our unlimited printing licensure packages.
What sort of things are on the pages?
Each page has a set of ten questions that are always included.
The ten questions that are one every page are:
1. The preacher today was _____________
2. These notes were written by _________
3. Questions I have ______________
4. Words I don’t know _____________
5. This week I will pray for ___________
6. Some upcoming church events that I’m excited about are _____________
7. Today’s scripture is _________
8. Illustrate a scene from today’s sermon.
9. Today I learned ______________
10. My favorite song was ____________
Some pages also have extra questions like:
What are your lunch plans for today?
What are some things you’re grateful for?
What is your favorite thing about nature?
What is your favorite thing about your outfit today?
Plus each page has lots of fun things to color and space to doodle!
What’s the best way to use these?
We have a half inch binder for each of our kids that is their church binder.
Inside, we have a pencil pouch with Twistable colored pencils (no one likes pencil shavings in the sanctuary) and a pencil or pen for writing.
We put a new sermon note sheet (or two in case they want to share with a friend) and several of our scripture coloring pages.
What ages are these pages designed for?
That’s a little bit tricky to answer.
We give the sheets to our kids as soon as they are old enough to sit in the sanctuary.
Our four-year-old daughter has a church binder filled with sermon note taking sheets and various scripture coloring pages. Our eight-year-old and our ten-year-old also have their own binders with sermon note taking sheets and coloring pages.
They each use them to the best of their ability. And we’re totally okay with that.
Our goal is to teach good habits for worship.
So our younger kids learn from their first day in big church that we sit quietly and listen and take notes while the preacher (aka their Dad) is talking.
If you’re curious about skill level, these sheets are probably best for ages 6-12.
Although I’ve seen some of the younger youth group kids filling them out on Sunday mornings. I can’t tell you their exact ages because I’m old and they all look like they’re ten to me.
How do I know if my child is ready to use these?
Honestly, taking notes in church is a learned skill.
So as soon as you’re ready for your child to begin practicing note taking, they’re ready for these sheets.
Our youngest (4) mostly colors but often writes the letters she knows and tells us about the notes she took after church.
I’m often blown away by how much she remembers from the sermon. (How does this squiggly upper case L remind you of Sampson?)
Will I get anything in the mail?
Nope.
This is NOT A PHYSICAL PRODUCT.
You will get an email with a link to download a PDF with 12 sermon note sheets.
The link will never expire, so you will always have access to it.
