One of my favorite moments in the parable of the Good Father, aka The Prodigal Son, is when the son finally gets out of the slop and says, “I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you.” Luke 10:18.
I love this so much because it is so me. Sometimes I look around at things in my life and wonder, why am I living like this when God has so much more for me. Why am I worried about money? Why am I broken by sin? Why am I stressed by hateful people when I can arise and cling to the Father?
